First, let’s look at ‘AJ’. The champion is coming off a tough 12-round decision victory over Andy Ruiz Jr. Joshua had to be disciplined and stick to the game-plan after he lost the first fight between the two. Despite this loss leaving question marks over the fighter, Joshua has all the tools to beat Pulev since he can box as well as fight.

He has shown on multiple occasions that he can adjust according to the situation. Furthermore, he has fought a lot of top-quality opponents over the years, which will add to his experience.

Kubrat Pulev on the other hand is the more experienced fighter at 39-years-old. He has a very impressive 28-1 record. His only defeat has come against former champion Wladimir Klitschko. Thus, he is no easy fight and will be a constant threat. His style of fighting is very similar to Joshua in the fact that he will walk down his opponent and try to dominate. However, his age and lack of credible opponents on his record could be the defining points on December 12.

Our prediction for the Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev fight

Both fighters have claimed they will knock the other out, and both promoters are confident in their fighters. However, we think Anthony Joshua will get the job done via a TKO in the latter rounds. We can see Pulev hurting Joshua in the early exchanges; however, just like he did against Whyte and Klitschko, ‘AJ’ will deal with it and keep coming. He will get a stoppage in the 8th or 9th round.

Despite this, with it being Pulev’s last chance at a world title, there’s every chance he could knock out Joshua. However, with age on the Englishman’s side, we think it will serve him well as the fight goes deeper.

If Joshua does get the win, then the undisputed fight with Tyson Fury will be ever so close and we could see it happen as the next fight for the champion. How do you see this fight going?
