The pool for the fight is set at $150 million, which means each fighter will get a staggering $75 million each, a huge increase from their previous fight.
Moreover, this does not take into account the bonuses and sponsorships that will be added to the purse. While Usyk was a former cruiserweight, he outclassed Joshua in their first outing. He is the current champion and will be the favorite to win coming into this fight. Moreover, the Ukrainian boxer will look to keep his undefeated record of 19-0 intact. Joshua will certainly have his work cut out for this fight, but the former champ will be motivated to earn his titles back.
Moreover, the winner of this fight would also be eyeing Tyson Fury, who will have to vacate his WBC belt if he stayed retired. The winner of this match could very well go on to become the undisputed heavyweight champion. A feat that hasn’t been accomplished in 22 years.
