Just seven more days until KSI and Tommy Fury meet inside the square ring. Both fighters have put bragging rights, reputations, and unbeaten records on the line in the upcoming fight. It will unfold in Manchester on Saturday night in front of thousands of spectators. But before that can happen, Tommy’s former opponent has come forward with his predictions for the fight. Who is that? It’s Anthony Taylor, who faced Fury back in 2021 and lost.

Anthony Taylor, a seasoned MMA veteran with experience in Bellator MMA, started boxing back in 2017. Taylor’s last fight was against Salt Papi, where he came out victorious in May earlier this year. Notably, Taylor will face King Kenny on 14 October in the undercard of KSI vs. Tommy Fury. Nevertheless, Taylor’s prior encounter with Tommy enables him to make accurate predictions. So, during an interview with Mirror Fighting, Taylor explained if KSI stands a chance against ‘TNT’ Fury.

Anthony Taylor claims, “It’s great for Misfits”

During the interview with Anthony, the reporter asked if KSI could win the fight against Tommy Fury. Immediately, Anthony responded with confidence, “No! Not at all. No!” Following that, Anthony quickly added, “But I want him to win though.” He went on to clarify that if KSI wins the fight and retires, it will be great for Misfits Boxing and other boxers.

“Because if you [KSI] win and you [KSI] retire…It’s great for Misfits and gives people like me, Salt, Slim the chance to be the main eventer in the UK,” Anthony told the reporter. However, he also expressed his hope that KSI would let other boxers feature in the main event rather than exclusively focusing on Deji. Later, Anthony asserted, “You are taking away from other people like Salt, who should have been the main eventer.”

A potential fight with Ryan Garcia?

A simple appearance from KSI in DAZN’s YouTube video recently sparked a back-and-forth between KSI and Ryan Garcia. KSI had claimed he could beat Ryan Garcia – in return, the latter challenged KSI to a fight. However, Anthony Taylor jumped into the fray by suggesting if KSI doesn’t fight Garcia, he will.

In a recent tweet, Taylor shared screenshots of DMs with Ryan Garcia, where Taylor offered to fight Garcia if KSI didn’t. However, Garcia criticized Taylor’s boxing skills and asserted Taylor doesn’t deserve a fight. Nevertheless, Taylor offered Garcia to fight in the Misfits card, vowing a worse defeat for Ryan than the one he faced against Gervonta Davis. Garcia scoffed at the idea, pushing Taylor to claim he fights more frequently than him and is as popular.
