This Saturday, the renewed light-heavyweight Anthony Yarde was all set to make his first in-ring appearance of 2021. He was all charged up to face Germany’s Emin Atra in a much-awaited contest. However, the fight between the pair fell through as Yarde pulled out of this fight due to his tooth issue.

Lately, Michael Benson shared the 29-year-old’s statement on his official Twitter handle.

He wrote, “It should take about two weeks. The tooth is next to my canine, so I am going to have to use a denture for a little while before having an implant. I definitely won’t be out for long.”

In his last fight, Yarde scored a split decision loss to Lyndon Arthur. He gave a tough fight to Arthur in this 12-round slugfest but ended up on the losing side.

Right from that loss, the 29-year-old was looking forward to making a rugged come back to the ring and put his boxing stint on track. However, with the pertaining scenario, it is clear that Yarde will have to wait for a substantial while to step inside the squared circle.

Can Anthony Yarde revive his career from hereon?

Yarde has a sublime track record of 20 wins and 2 losses. Moreover, a whopping 19 of his wins have arrived via T/KO. His power and magnificent ring-IQ separates him from the rest, and he’s only looking to get better from here.

For now, he will only focus on his recovery and get back in the gym as soon as possible. More than anyone else, Yarde is himself eager to get back to his prime phase and vanquish any and every opponent he faces from hereon.
