The high-voltage heavyweight thriller between Anthony Joshua and Kubrat Pulev has witnessed several sides. Both the pugilists have their fair share of believers, and they appear confident about outpointing the other. Although Joshua seems to be the favorite with the unified titles around his waist, there are a bunch of people who favor Kubrat Pulev.

Pulev and Joshua boast of pretty similar resumes and have one loss each on their charts. That said, they will be looking to hand off the second loss to the other when they collide on December 12.

Despite all the rigmarole, Matchroom CEO Eddie Hearn bills Anthony Joshua as a “different fighter.” He believes AJ would vanquish Pulev and will prove the critics wrong.

He connected with Sky Sports to shed light on the heavyweight matchup and vowed that fans would see ‘AJ’ in his best shape. Hearn said, “Everybody says ‘AJ has vulnerabilities’ but when you get in the ring then get a jab, right hand, from Joshua? Everything changes”

He added, “They look at the Ruiz Jr fight. They might look at the Wladimir Klitschko and Dillian Whyte fights to say ‘he can be hurt. But any heavyweight can be hurt.”

It is no surprise any heavyweight can get hurt, but Joshua can hit back and provide an immense challenge for Pulev. Although Pulev is also an elite puncher, it’s wrong and bizarre to write off Joshua’s threat.

Anthony Joshua is ready with a new form

Following a tactical decision win against Andy Ruiz Jr, Joshua has been inactive for almost a year. He is also on a two-fight KO drought. The heavyweight champion will look forward to ending it with a stoppage win over Pulev, and Hearn seems confident in his prime prodigy.

Hearn said, “The improvements he is making? You will see them on December 12. You will see a different fighter. Joshua has said: ‘When I fought Klitschko, Carlos Takam and Joseph Parker I didn’t really know what I was doing.”

He continued, “It is bizarre for someone to say that! He was a complete novice and now he is a seasoned fighter – bigger, stronger, wiser.”

Joshua ad Pulev will fight for the unified titles in a 12-round main-event clash. ‘The Cobra’ is the IBO mandatory challenger, but winning the fight will bring him all the other belts too. So, we can potentially expect fireworks when the heavyweight gladiators collide.

Who do you think will be the winner? AJ or Pulev?
