Moreover, he has won world titles in four of the eight ‘glamour divisions’ of the sport. Boxing aside, he has been married to Jinkee Pacquiao since 1999. However, there were recent reports stating the couple is heading toward a divorce. But, is there any truth to this?

Maria Geraldine Capeña Jamora, better known by the name, Jinkee Pacquiao, is a Filipina socialite and media personality. Additionally, she was also the vice governor of Sarangani from 2013 to 2016. She married Pacquiao on May 10, 1999.

There were recent rumors about trouble brewing in their marriage. With a channel even reporting that the couple is heading toward a divorce. However, their family friend, Annabelle Rama, rubbished the rumors in an Instagram post. by saying, “(TRANSLATED) Stop making up stories about Jinkee. That she filed for annulment and that she’s pitiful because she’s pregnant. I just want to clarify to those who texted and called me to ask if the rumors were true, no, it’s fake news.”

Mrs. Pacquiao, in turn, nodded in agreement while commenting on the post. She also went on to post pictures with Pacquiao on her page.

Did Manny Pacquiao and Jinkee Pacquiao face marriage troubles in 2011?

This was not the first time that the relationship between Pacquiao and his wife was questioned. In fact, there were reports in early 2012 about the strife in the couple’s relationship.

Pacquiao faced Juan Manuel Márquez in November 2011, and almost lost the fight. This, in turn, was blamed on his lack of preparation owing to marital issues. News outlets even mentioned that things had gotten so bad that Pacquiao’s wife wished for a divorce.
