Therefore, it was no surprise when Iron Mike made a hard-hiking remark about loneliness and how to overcome it. In an appearance on rapper Angie Martinez’s podcast, he detailed that one should not let himself down despite their environment, but battle through it. “You got to make the decision. Are you gonna come down here gift with the love and kill yourself and all your accomplishments and anything that you ever wanted in life and your goal or you’re going to keep ascending?” he said.

This statement stunned Martinez who claimed that this method could leave a person very lonely. However, Tyson responded by stating that although it might be lonely, it was still much better than not achieving what one is capable of. “It is lonely but um it’s better than the other endeavor. You can stay down here and you don’t belong here. So you can’t stay out here if you wanted to. You just go to ascend,” he added.

He concluded by saying that a person can lose sight of his goals if he starts to indulge in vices. However, the person working towards his goals will reach what he set his mind to. “If you start getting high and stuff and doing drugs you’ll come back and forth. But if you’re doing the right thing, you start defending and keep going further reaching what you want to reach, which is very scary. You’re gonna reach it but um be careful what you wish for you might get it.” Said Tyson.
