Canelo Alvarez is undoubtedly the biggest boxing icon of this generation. The persona of the maiden undisputed champion of the world has such an incredibly enchanting power that even those who hate him and shelter a grudge against him, respect him.

Recently, in the biggest super-flyweight boxing event, something happened outside the ring that grasped public attention. Notably, among the spectators, the pound-for-pound king was present at ringside to cheer the Mexican WBC flyweight warrior, Julio Cesar Martinez.

However, the thing that caught the eye of fans was Alvarez’s meet-up with WBC lightweight titleholder Devin Haney. Not only did ‘The Dreamer’ shake hands with the champion, but also took a picture with him.

Boxing fans on Twitter burst up with the reactions as the 23-year-old champion is known for bad-mouthing and targeting Canelo.

More interestingly, the earlier tweets of ‘The Dreamer’ resurfaced and few fans even took a dig over Devin Haney’s move of taking a picture with the champion.

Mr. Moonshine a Twitter user, “Canelo accused of juicing by Devin Haney on Twitter, yet in person asked for a picture.”

He even extracted tweets from Haney, targeting Canelo for doping controversy, and further added, “Why Haney didn’t keep the same energy?”

Few fans are even of the opinion that Devin Haney’s accusations were baseless.

“No one accused Canelo… he tested positive then said it was taco meat lol you have to be eating that meat for a month in order for the test to come back dirty,” one fan wrote.

Another fan wrote, “Not even a big haney fan but so what honestly.. he asked for a pic big deal.. he still spit facts about canelo and reynoso there 100% cheaters.”

Jarry Garry Antoine added, “I remember Eddy Hearn was on Canelo a*s too..but now Canelo calls him dad lol..Keep the same energy too.”

Another Twitter user wrote, “I mean it doesn’t change anything? Canelo has juiced. That’s proven and indisputable tbf. He was banned after his ‘draw’ with Golovkin. For juicing.”
