It is very upsetting when a young person who was on the verge of prominence passes away. British boxing champion Cameron Shaw, popularly known as Cam Shaw, recently lost his life while he was snorkeling. The boxing world is in remorse as the young champion passed away.

Shaw was on an organized expedition in Cairns, Australia, holidaying with his girlfriend. The 25-year-old was snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef, and unfortunately, he lost his life due to drowning on October 24th. Fans have been mourning the tragic death of the young athlete, and the comments section is cluttered with condolences.

Shaw’s tragic death has shaken the boxing world, and many people are offering their condolences for him. An investigation is still being conducted to determine the precise cause of the death.

Cam Shaw’s heartbroken father shares some kind words about his son 

Shaw’s mother Nova, and his father Rod Shaw are waiting for the coroner’s investigation currently. Additionally, they are negotiating with the consulate to return his body to the UK. As per York Press, Rod Shaw expressed that they are still unaware of what caused the death.

Rod further added, ”He was a strong swimmer – I taught him to swim at Water World in York when he was aged two and a half and he reached up to nine out of a possible eleven levels. He was a fit lad. He was a professional boxer and fought four fights. He won them all, but then Covid struck and he had to put it to one side.”

The emotional father went on to speak about his son and revealed that the 25-year-old was also a qualified ski instructor in Switzerland, and he gave his everything in whatever he picked up. Meanwhile, we share our condolences with Shaw’s friends and family. Rest in peace champ.
