Caleb Plant’s fight with Canelo Alvarez doesn’t have a definite date as yet. But, to everyone’s surprise, the American fighter has already begun his mental warfare with his rival. Not only from Plant, but Canelo and his team are facing the wrath of fans and fighters over the past few days because of Oscar Valdez’s positive test for a banned substance.

Replying to Devin Haney‘s tweet, Plant wrote on his Twitter, “Na @CANELOTEAM and @Canelo deserve B**** of the year! All of them are suspect everything out of that camp is intentional. They have the knowledge and experience to know better and the resources to have the best of the best in whatever they want but or or some is the reason.”

Alvarez and Plant will tentatively fight each other this year. After talks for a September bout fell through, they are in line to fight in November as both sides resumed discussions given the magnitude of the fight.

That said, before this high-voltage encounter comes to life, Plant wants to make the most out of it to build some quality hype around this contest. His above tweet is proof of the same. Moving ahead, Caleb Plant would look to take a dig at Canelo on every step of the way.

Neither the Mexican boxer nor anyone from his team has responded to Plant’s or anyone else’s comments.
