WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, was in talks with the unified heavyweight champion, Oleksandr Usyk, for an undisputed showdown. It was also speculated to take place on April 29, 2023. However, much to the dismay of the boxing community, it was reported that the talks for the Fury vs Usyk fight had fallen through. Fans even blamed it on the many clauses put forward by Fury. Meanwhile, it looks like boxing promoter, Eddie Hearn, has a new series of matchups for Fury and Usyk.

Joshua, on the other hand, had a few choice words to say about Fury vs Usyk not reaching fruition. He said, “Look at all the sh*t they are going through now with Usyk. It’s just crazy. I don’t publicize things so it’s actually good that people are starting to see what goes on in negotiations. It’s good that they can actually see the shit that [boxers such as Usyk] have got to put up with to make a fight. “

Fans were not sure about the matchups for Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk

While Hearn’s suggested matchups might pave the way for some exciting fights. It looks like fans don’t share the same enthusiasm. In fact, a lot of them took to social media to share their thoughts on the same.

Many fans were quick to point out that boxing aficionados rarely get to see top fighters pitted against each other. Moreover, user @Known_as_Griff mentioned that the sport of boxing was becoming a circus.

Meanwhile, a few fans seemed to have lost interest in Fury’s fights. And even stated that the fights would not take place if Fury was involved.

On the other hand, @mrmikekennedy delved into the potential outcome of the fights.
