There have been countless rivalries in the history of boxing, but for now, the boxing fans are enjoying a cosmic rift between Ben Askren and Jake Paul. The duo has traded enough verbal shots with each other and is ready to settle their feud on April 17.

Ahead of the fight, ‘Funky’ was in a chat with Ryan Garcia. Here he spoke on his rival Jake Paul and his fanbase.

“I don’t see why people even really take Jake serious. And I know, I mean, I guess one of the things I thought I think his fan base. The majority of them have not had puberty yet. So I think that’s the part where they’re young, they don’t know what the hell is going on,” said Askren.

Askren even took a dig at the ‘Problem Child’ for his comments on the pound-for-pound king, Canelo Alvarez. He felt Jake Paul should get ignored and no one should really pay attention to what he says or does.

‘Funky’ is all charged up to step inside the boxing ring for the very first time in his life. He has landed colossal verbal jabs on Paul, but an abrupt in-ring tussle with the ‘Problem Child’ excites him more than anything else.

The trash talk and animosity between Askren and Paul has hyped this contest onto a different level. Fans got a taste of this at the press conference earlier this week.

Paul, who just has 2 wins over non-fighters under his wing, has a lot to prove in this fight which will be his first against an experienced combat sports athlete.

It’ll be interesting to see what the duo brings up to the table when they enter the ring in two weeks’ time.
