Floyd Mayweather might have retired from professional boxing in the year 2017. But, he has surely been unable to stay away from the very sport that made him a household name. He further went on to spread the roots of the Mayweather legacy in the world of exhibition boxing. Mayweather is set to face Geordie Shore star, Aaron Chalmers, for the latest addition to his exhibition boxing journey. Moreover, this fight which will take place at the O2 Arena in London will also mark his UK debut. However, with merely hours left for the fight, Mayweather’s infamous altercation with Jake Paul seems to be rearing its head.

Mayweather fought YouTuber turned WWE sensation, Logan Paul, at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami in 2021. But what caught the eyes of the fans more than the fight itself, was his altercation with ‘The Problem Child’. And the infamous, ‘Gotcha Hat’ fiasco.

Paul faced off with Mayweather at their official presser. They proceeded to engage in the quintessential war of words. With both sides stating the, then potential, outcome of the fight. This was when the younger Paul brother grabbed Mayweather’s hat and blurted the phrase, “Gotcha Hat”.

A clip from the incident recently started making rounds on the internet barely hours before Mayweather’s fight against Chalmers. It is also reported that he will make over USD 20 million for this fight, as per Mirror.
