Love Island star Tommy Fury fought Genadij Krajevskij. The 21-year-old extended his unbeaten record to 4-0 with another devastating knockout. After a relatively uneventful first round, Fury brought the fire for the second and landed an upper-cut that dropped the Lithuanian. Fury then finished him with a fast four-punch combination and put him on the canvas to get the victory.

This was Fury’s first fight in almost a year. After the fight, the Brit said, “At the end of the day, I just need to ease into it as I’ve been out of it a year. I started putting shots together and felt comfortable. I’ve had no amateur experience and I’m learning on the job. It’s a long road, but we’re going to get there”.

The knockout got the approval of the heavyweight king, with Tyson Fury being fairly pleased with his brother’s performance in the ring. The ‘Gypsy King‘ even predicted that big things await the young star. Even though the two are very different fighters, Tommy knows how to embrace the fight like his older brother.

What’s next for Tommy Fury?

Tommy ‘TNT’ Fury is still in the early days of his career. Even though his debut came almost two years ago, he has only had four professional fights with a stint on Love Island in between. There is still a long way to go before he can think of any big fights in the light-heavyweight division.

However, if he can get a few fights under his belt in 2021, we could potentially see a few exciting matchups with fellow British light-heavyweight pugilists in Anthony Yarde and Joshua Buatsi. A fight against one of those would really put Tommy Fury in the limelight. Do you think the younger Fury has what it takes to emulate his brother?
