Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather followed through on his promise to give some young fans a ticket to an NBA match. Back in October, the former 5 division champion was at the Crypto.com arena for a Clippers game and promised some fans a spot at the next Clippers game.

Moreover, he went through with his promise of giving the fans seats for an NBA game and also handed them some extra cash along with some time with him.

According to TMZ,  ‘Money’ hooked two children up with tickets to the NBA match between the Los Angeles Clippers and the New Orleans Pelicans. Moreover, despite losing to the Pelicans in a valiant effort, the children got to see some of the best basketball players showcase their skills.

This included Paul George, who scored 14 points and Zion Williamson leading his team to victory by scoring 21 points along with 12 rebounds. The young NBA fans got to have the time of their lives, with Mayweather being their Santa Claus.

Mayweather gives the young fans $5000

‘Money’ has seemed to develop a soft spot for the children as he handed them $5000. He met the children outside the Ritz hotel following the Clippers vs. Celtics match and gave the group of 5 children $1000 each. Moreover, two of these children were the same ones he took to the Pelicans game in October. The children seemed very excited to meet Mayweather, referring to him as ‘Uncle Floyd’ as he gave them some holiday cash. “You always help us out when we see you,” said one kid. “We love you, Floyd.” another added.

Mayweather has always been the one who tries to give back to his community. Moreover, this is understandable given that he himself came up from a very tough background. Despite that, he has always been a great role model who always stood up for his people and community, perfectly showcased in this heartwarming gesture.
