The boxing universe has lashed out at Anthony Joshua for not hinting at a direct fight with arch-foe Tyson Fury. On the flip side, fellow Britisher and Matchroom athlete, Billy Joe Saunders has come in to ‘AJ’s rescue. He took a shot at fans who claim that Joshua doesn’t want Tyson Fury next.
“Just because he don’t talk about it, doesn’t mean he don’t want it. That’s a lot of money to say a man don’t want. I take that with a pinch of salt. I’m sure that he’s just as eager to make it as Tyson Fury,” stated Saunders.

‘AJ’ scored a sensational T/KO win over Kubrat Pulev on December 12. Post this exhilarating win, fans presumed he would fire some shots at Tyson Fury and hint at an upcoming fight with him. But, Joshua didn’t engage in a direct call-out towards the ‘Gypsy King’.
In his post-fight interview with Sky Sports Boxing, ‘AJ’ said, “Whoever’s got the belt, I got to compete with them. If that is Tyson Fury, let it be Tyson Fury!”
Joshua got fairly criticized for the post-fight call-out to Fury. However, Saunders felt that his fellow Englishman was equally curious to touch gloves with Fury once. He affirmed that there’s a lot of money going into this fight and Joshua would never deny that.
