The two-division world champion appears to be fond of food. However, Saunders has sacrificed a lot to boast of his fighting physique. ‘Superb’ Saunders underwent intense training and followed a strict diet to unleash his championship stature.

But, at times, he has not followed protocol. Prior to his fight against Martin Murray in 2020, the WBO titlist revealed that he gorged on cakes. ‘Superb’ claimed it would make the collision more equal.

“I go up (in weight) like a fat pig so he’s in camp training all the time while I’m sitting back eating cakes, then I get a phone call saying this is what you’re getting, go to camp and train and fight,” said Saunders. (H/T-  Daily Mail)

But in a fight camp for Canelo Alvarez, Saunders has apparently followed a proper diet. The 168 lbs elite is donning a perfect shape. ‘Superb’, who had posted his last meal before beginning the drill, doesn’t seem to have deviated from his regime as he did in his previous fight.

As he seeks to become a unified champion ahead, Saunders might need to maintain this professionalism for the rest of his career.
