The Floyd Mayweather vs. Deji fight might have just been another exhibition bout for the boxing superstar. However, the explosive drama that ensued ringside made it far more memorable for both fans and the boxing fraternity. And one of the highlights of the day was when Tyson and Tommy Fury’s father, John Fury, took off his shirt and tried to lunge at Jake Paul. Matchroom Boxing chairman, Eddie Hearn, on the other hand, had a few choice words to say about the same.

Paul was relentlessly taking digs at Tommy Fury while ringside at his fight in Dubai. Notably, Fury was fighting Rolly Lambert as a part of the co-main event. Fury’s father, who was irritated by the constant heckling, took his shirt off and jumped into the ring, calling out to Paul.

Meanwhile, Hearn was talking to Charlie Parsons of Boxing Social. In conversation, Parsons reminded him about Fury’s statement of smacking him across the backside. In response, Hearn said, “Bit f*cking kinky. John Fury’s got this thing where he takes his shirt off all the time and doesn’t do anything.”

He further added, “You can’t just take your shirt off and hope someone holds you back. John, you gotta go through the ropes. I wanted him to jump on Jake Paul, Logan Paul style.”

Hearn also mentioned that the older Fury’s antics were embarrassing. Additionally, he also sneakily stated that getting smacked by Fury might be quite enjoyable.

Eddie Hearn had previously sued Jake Paul

Eddie Hearn was Anthony Joshua’s promoter for his fight against Oleksandr Usyk. While Usyk won the bout by decision. A lot of fans were confused as to why one of the judges voted in favor of Joshua. And Jake Paul happened to be one of them.

He accused Hearn and Matchroom boxing of bribing judge Glenn Feldman. This, however, did not sit well with Hearn. He denied the accusation and also mentioned that he will be suing Paul. Talking about the same, his lawyer, Frank Salzano, said, “Mr. Hearn will be seeking damages in well excess of $100 million given the value and goodwill attached to the Matchroom business and the harmful nature of Mr. Paul’s comments.”

It was also stated that there was a line separating opinions and defamatory lies. And what Paul said was the latter.
