After months of uncertainty, the heavyweight division remains unstable. However, fans and analysts are speculating about the possibility of some iconic bouts in 2022. Amongst them, the most awaited battle for the boxing world is between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.

Unfortunately, Bob Arum has expressed concerns over this bout. According to him, while the fight is still possible, chances look horrible at this moment.

He told talkSport.com, “It is total chaos. What’s happening is just promises coming out of the Middle East about doing a unified fight with Usyk and Fury, and is Dillian Whyte gonna step aside. And people that have absolutely no contractual ties – like Frank Warren’s Queensberry and our Top Rank do – are getting involved.”

Earlier, boxing speculators were predicting a fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua as per the contract. On the other hand, Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte were touted to clash because the WBC made it compulsory for Fury to give Whyte a shot at the gold.

Still, Usyk’s promoter, Alexander Krassyuk, is waiting for ‘The Gypsy King‘s next move.

Bob Arum has no idea about a Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk clash

Bob Arum turned down all such speculations and denied any contact with promoters of Oleksandr Usyk hailing from the Middle East. He said, “I have absolutely no idea. Who are these people in the Middle East? And what’s their backing and all of that stuff? That’s not clear. All I know is that the contract with Tyson Fury is with Frank Warren’s Queensberry and Top Rank.”

Both undefeated heavyweights are keen to face each other in the ring since they came out victorious in their previous bouts. Through his swift movement in the ring, Oleksandr Usyk outclassed Anthony Joshua. He pushed ‘AJ’ deep into his base, and, with strong and accurate blows, he dismantled the champion.

On the other hand, Tyson Fury outwitted power with skills and knocked out Deontay Wilder in the high-profile trilogy. In fact, ‘The Gypsy King’ has changed the notion of physical shape by knocking Wilder down thrice.
