Stevenson has won titles in two divisions. However, he was forced to vacate his 126-pound and 130-pound titles after failing to make weight. Now, he will compete at 135 pounds with his sights set on the champion. Moreover, Arum thinks the former Olympic medalist won’t have a hard time doing it.

Bob Arum reveals Gervonta Davis has no chance of beating Shakur Stevenson

In an interview with FightHype Arum was asked if Stevenson stood a chance against Davis in a match. However, the legendary promoter forgets to even mention ‘Tank’ claiming that Stevenson would beat everyone in the division. “I think Shakur beats them all. I really believe that, I believe that Shakur is the best lightweight in the world. Lomachenko would give him a good fight but I would still favor Shakur and even over Haney as well.” he said

Moreover, he praised ‘Fearless’ stating that he was only getting better as time progressed.

I really have always been tremendously high on Shakur and particularly now he just keeps getting better and better.” he added

Arum is certainly confident in the former 2-division champion looking to become a 3-division champion. However, given that Stevenson is currently signed with Top Rank, this answer was not particularly surprising.

A look into the fiasco between Davis and Floyd Mayweather

Tank’s relationship with his former employer recently took a plunge after he requested termination papers from Mayweather. In a shocking tweet, Davis publicly fractured his relationship with ‘Money’ requesting to be released from the promotion. However, the tweet was later deleted.

Davis then went on to reveal that he had finally parted ways with Mayweather and would work independently from now.

Much love to Mayweather Promotions – Leonard Ellerbe, Floyd Mayweather, all them guys. I definitely appreciate them. I’m just doing my own thing now.” he said in an interview with Fight hype.

‘Tank’ is now set to face Hector Luis Garcia in January and will be doing so by promoting himself as he follows in the footsteps of his mentor.
