The famous promoter spoke to talkSPORT and revealed his hope for at least 50% capacity by June. He referenced the claims by President Joe Biden and said he is optimistic about the possibility of having 100% capacity.
However, regardless of the situation, Arum wants fans from the UK. About that situation, he said, “We’ll have between 6,000 and 7,000 seats available at a minimum.
“There’s a big demand for tickets. But reading the situation over in the UK–they’re not allowing UK citizens to leave on tourism, hopefully, that’ll change by May 22nd.”
With this comment, the promoter showed his desire to have a representation for Josh Taylor. He then revealed they would reserve at least 1,000 of the 6,000 tickets for fans of Josh Taylor.
Why is Bob Arum adamant about having fans from the UK?
The Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury has taken all the headlines in recent weeks. However, just like the Fury-Joshua fight, this bout between Taylor and Ramirez will also be for the undisputed title. Despite this, it has gone slightly under the radar.
