Terence Crawford just beat Kell Brook with a fourth-round TKO in their clash for Crawford’s WBO Welterweight Title. With that win, Crawford has extended his professional boxing record to 37-0 and is slowly climbing up the ranks as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters around.

However, Crawford’s record is sometimes considered padded by many people. People he hasn’t fought often say Crawford ducks big names in favour of more winnable fights. A fighter that has often said this is Danny Garcia. After Crawford’s win over Brook, his manager Bob Arum decided to take open shots at Garcia and Errol Spence Jr., Garcia’s next opponent.

Spence and Garcia are not considered big draws due to their relatively reserved nature. As a result, their card next month is tracking to draw mediocre numbers. Terence Crawford on the other hand is a larger commercial draw. Arum is evidently stoking the flames of a possible super-fight against whoever wins that fight by making claims like this.

Garcia is 36-2 in his career and definitely the under-dog heading into the fight with Spence. After all, the last man that beat Garcia (Shawn Porter) ended up dropping the WBC belt to Spence. This fight is intriguing, and the possibility of the winner matching up with Crawford will further ramp the excitement up.

Even without Crawford actually being on the card, it turns out he can move the needle.
