Speaking to the Barbershop Conversation on YouTube, Arum replied, “I read some place that he felt I had insulted him by only offering him a million dollars. I’m old fashioned. I don’t know why a million dollars would be an insult to anybody.”
The promoter then stood firm and said, “I’m not guaranteeing more than a million dollars. I’m just not. Not in these times.”
Thus, these comments showed that if Porter wants a shot at the title, he has to compromise on his demands.
