Amidst rumors of a potential super-fight against former UFC dual champion Conor McGregor, former eight-division champion Manny Pacquiao is likely to step inside the boxing ring in 2021. However, he will not fight ‘The Notorious’. Instead, he will battle Terence Crawford for the WBO welterweight title.
Bob Arum revealed that he is targeting an epic showdown between the Hunter and Pacman. He also stated that he is also looking at Errol Spence as a possible opponent for the Bud.

Manny Pacquiao currently reigns as the WBA (Super) welterweight champion and will look to unify it with Crawford’s WBO strap. Meanwhile, Errol Spence is set to defend the IBF and WBC welterweight title on December 5 against Danny Garcia inside AT&T in Texas.
Arguably the greatest boxer of all time Manny Pacquiao had earlier accepted that verbal agreement is in place to fight UFC champion, Conor McGregor. He took to Twitter to confirm the same, but nothing was made official. Now, it looks like Pacquiao has another huge fight to his name.

Terence Crawford vs Errol Spence is an exciting fight. However, the boxing world could view it as a fight to set up a unified welterweight weight title match-up with the winner of Crawford vs Pacquiao and Spence vs Garcia.

It is an exciting match-up and one that puts Manny Pacquiao right at the top of the boxing world. It’s no wonder that the Pacman continues to be a serious threat. Last July, Pacquiao became the oldest boxer to grab the welterweight gold. In the process, he became the first boxer in the history of professional boxing to win the welterweight title a record four times.

Should Errol Spence triumph over Danny Garcia later this year, it makes more sense for Pacquiao to fight the Bud. Additionally, it will pave the way to set up arguably the greatest match-up in welterweight history of this decade.
Be that as it may, the legacy of Manny Pacquiao will remain unparalleled for years to come. If things play out well, the welterweight division could steal the limelight from the other boxing weight classes.
