In a recent chat with iFL TV, Arum unveiled his plans for the Josh Taylor vs Jose Ramirez fight.

First, he wished Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all the viewers. He later revealed a special surprise for fans in the UK.

“All the fans in the UK who are the best fans in the world and hopefully on the road before the mid-point of 2021, I’ll be over the UK. Maybe that’s where we do a Taylor Ramirez fight. That will be great. Any arena that’ll be put to fight in the UK,” asserted Arum.

Josh Taylor vs Jose Ramirez is a potential show-stealer in the super-welterweight division. Fans wanted this enigmatic clash in 2020 itself, but the fight couldn’t hit the floors due to various reasons.

Bob Arum has admitted that he wants this fight in 2021 at any cost. Therefore, it seems like the fight may materialize by mid or later half of next year.

Bob Arum keen on booking Josh Taylor vs Jose Ramirez in the UK

Taylor vs Ramirez is one contest to look out for in the 140 pounder division. The winner of this fight will be the unified super-welterweight king of boxing.

Taylor currently holds the WBA, IBF, and The Ring titles and has an astonishing pro-boxing record of 17 wins and 0 losses. The Brit will look to unify his titles while maintaining that undefeated streak.

On the other side, Jose Ramirez has a lead over Taylor in terms of experience. The ‘Jaguar’ is undefeated with a 26-0 record and holds the WBC and WBO super-welterweight titles.

Arum insisted on booking this fight in the UK. In fact, he praised UK fans for being the best in the world and claimed that he will book this fight in any available arena there.

The fight will carry more hype and responsibility if it allows fans inside the arena irrespective of the numbers. Arum just has to shell out the dates for this fight as quickly as possible. 2021 already looks great for the super-welterweight division.
