Oleksandr Usyk, on September 25, scored the biggest win of his career against the stout heavyweight Anthony Joshua. The Ukrainian star dethroned the Brit and claimed his WBA, WBO, IBF, and IBO heavyweight titles. Now that Usyk sits atop of this division, boxing purists and fans are already keen to see him go up against the likes of Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder.

Speaking to iFL TV, he said, “That will be an additional defeat on Joshua’s record and prevent him from what I think would be a massive fight and the way it should be against the unified champion. Usyk fights Tyson Fury or Wilder if and fight the winner and then we’re into something that the public can make sense of.”

Joshua has an immediate rematch clause against Usyk and will look to exercise it at the earliest. That said, Usyk’s next fight, too, is principally set. However, if he beats the hard-hitting heavyweight again, needless to say, ‘The Cat’ will be in a position to fight the likes of Tyson Fury, Deontay Wilder, and more.
