Some of the biggest boxing names of the current era in Canelo Alvarez, Gennady Golovkin, and more will take up the ring space this year. Out of all, something that excites the fans to a massive level is a trilogy between Golovkin and Alvarez. The two have high chances of facing each other, but before that, they have to win their respective bouts.

Recently, Canelo’s fight with Dmitry Bivol got announced and fans are already eager to see that battle. However, many have the wider picture in mind, as they’re even more eager to see Canelo and Golovkin’s third fight.

“I mean the third fight you know we’re talking to Eddy about Makabu and also John Ryder who’ll be the mandatory, that would be a fight in London as well but obviously the fight that we all want is the undisputed trilogy against Gennady Golovkin.”

“Both guys gotta take care of business. I’m sure they will. I believe they will and we get another mega-fight for September.” Hearn added.

Canelo Alvarez, after a win over Caleb Plant, trended in the news for scaling up in weight class. He was expected to compete at the cruiserweight frame, but now, he’ll look to get past the WBA light-heavyweight king, Dmitry Bivol.

The p4p king himself will be keen to vanquish Bivol to set up a fight with rival ‘GGG’, thus concluding the rivalry once for all.

Their first fight ended with a controversial draw, and Alvarez won the second scuffle via a MD. Since that fight, ‘GGG’ remained inquisitive to fight Canelo, but the latter moved up in weight.
