Abel Ramos and Omar Figueroa Jr. unleashed a dogfight against each other in the co-main event of the recent PBC card. They landed heavy shots right from the outset, and halfway through the fight, both men already looked battered. It appeared to be a 50/50 matchup before Ramos conquered his opposition with sleek combinations to return to the win column.

Abel Ramos stopped Omar Figueroa Jr. at the end of round six. The 29-year-old orthodox puncher had already inflicted severe damage. As he continued hitting the bigger shots, Figueroa’s chances looked bleak, and the writing was on the wall.

Abel Ramos vs Omar Figueroa Jr.- What a fight

Both pugilists planted their best shot, and for a brief period, the fight seemed 50/50. However, Abel Ramos emerged as the aggressor with every passing round. He apparently fixed his sights on Figueroa’s face and no matter what, all the hard jabs found a way to the spot.

The 31-year-old ‘Panterita’ did every possible thing to avoid the shots. He maintained his distance and his composure, dragging the fight till the end of the round. Unfortunately for the fans, he already appeared weary and had very little to offer inside the ring.

Coming into the fight, Figueroa Jr had his legitimate chances of winning. However, Ramos surprisingly turned out to be even more treacherous, and despite having sheer differences in their records, it was a close collision that was intense throughout.

28-2-1 as a professional, Figueroa Jr has a long way to go and will seemingly return to the win column soon. Meanwhile, Ramos will get to challenge Yordenis Ugas for the WBA welterweight title next. Hence, he is one more win away from becoming a world champion.
