Former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua is undoubtedly one of the hardest punchers in his division. And there is no denying that he sure loves to obliterate punching machines on a regular basis. However, fans were quick to notice the latest video of him having a go at a punching machine. Especially since he was unable to beat Tyson Fury’s record.

Joshua recently took part in DAZN Boxing Show’s punching machine challenge. This was when he had a go at the machine with a brutal left hook. And he was even able to rake up an impressive score of 965. But this fell short of ‘The Gypsy King‘s record of 993.

It should also be mentioned that the machine that Fury used might have been calibrated differently. Joshua, on the other hand, was surprised by the score. Talking about the same, he said, “I can’t believe it’s not gone to 999.”

This also comes at a time when Fury had expressed his desire to come out of retirement to face Joshua.

Fans share their thoughts on Anthony Joshua’s score

Boxing fans quickly noticed that Tyson Fury had a bigger score than Anthony Joshua. Moreover, they even took to social media to share their thoughts about the same.

A few users were impressed by Fury’s score in the punch machine. In fact, user @RossLeBrun hilariously mentioned that the WBC will make a punch machine belt for Fury.

Similarly, user @z388z also felt that Fury ‘owned’ Joshua.

In the same vein, user @WillamDeWee1 on the other hand mentioned that boxing fans rather wished to see him fight Fury.

Meanwhile, a few users were doubtful if the punch machines were calibrated differently for professional boxers. And user @Lufc19821 mentioned that his brother regularly hits over 900.

However, a few users were all praise for Joshua’s punching power. User @goat_pierce was sure that Joshua would demolish Fury in 3 rounds.

Moreover, a few users took a dig at Joshua by stating that the punch machine could not move. In fact, user @CJ_Randell felt that Joshua would have been outboxed if it could move.
