As of 2025, Canelo Alvarez is not just one of the highest-paid boxers, but he is ranked above world-class athletes like Cristiano Ronaldo when it comes to annual earnings. After all, he’s one of the best boxers in the current generation, with Turki Alalshikh, who is heavily investing in the sport, so interested in the Mexican star that he made a four-fight deal with Cinnamon for the Riyadh Season. The first fight out of this arrangement is happening tomorrow, Saturday, at the ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

After getting stripped of the IBF super middleweight title last year, the 62-2 boxer is getting another chance to claim his title back from the current champ, William Scull. In a 12-round bout, the two would clash at the main event, settling once and for all, who is better than whom. The showdown is all the more special because if Canelo wins, he will be breaking records to become the first-ever two-time undisputed champion in the division, setting high standards for future boxers. With such a feat, it is no surprise that for high-profile bouts, the unified champ has the talent to just name the price, and it’ll be arranged.

How much are Canelo Alvarez and William Scull earning? Estimate salary

The Scull fight is the first time Canelo is stepping outside Mexico or the U.S. for a fight, and it’s surely not for a nominal payday. In February this year, Alvarez signed a four-fight deal with Turki Alalshikh, which is worth $400 million. Three of them are scheduled in Riyadh, and one in Las Vegas. This lucrative offer is the reason the 34-year-old completely sidelined a potential fight against Jake Paul, going for elite opponents like Scull and Terence Crawford (anticipated but not confirmed officially) instead.

Not to mention the fact that any earnings from merchandise sales, event sponsorships, and PPV revenue share would be extra income. Overall, Canelo is going to make some big bucks throughout the deal, also a sweet spot for the star to end his career. But, coming back to the point, how much is he going to make fighting El Indomable? Well, the terms of the contract make it $80 million for the purse money, which is for the fight alone, as we mentioned earlier. That would significantly boost the boxer’s already high net worth.

But still, it’s nowhere close to the $650 million Floyd Mayweather boasted after in an exhibition bout against Manny Pacquiao and Conor McGregor. Yet, the amount he is going to make tomorrow night is still something that a handful of 20-30 boxers can make globally. It brings the Jalisco native among the top 0.1 percent of boxers when it comes to higher salary potential. And, fans will be able to compare this clearly with what the other boxers are going to get paid on the card tomorrow.

How much will Martin Bakole, Jaime Munguia, and others earn? Estimate salary

Well, 4 more main event fights will happen in the Saudi Arabian capital tomorrow, with Jaime Munguia and Bruno Surace matched together in a super middleweight rematch, because of the latter’s upset victory via second-round knockout. Then there will be the WBC cruiserweight champ Badou Jack defending his title against the “champion in recess,” Noel Mikaeljan, finally bringing some stability to who holds the WBC belt in the division.

Apart from that, Martin Bakole is fighting Efe Ajagba in the heavyweight class, with Brayan Leon vs. Aaron Rocha Guerrero scheduled two divisions below them. Finally, there is Michel Polina in the middleweight set up against Marco Verde, who is making his professional debut in the sport. With so many fights happening, the boxers with more popularity and name in the community will be earning more as compared to those who are relatively inexperienced or just starting. Since the exact purses are not revealed publicly, let’s take a look at some of their recent fight purses.

For Martin Bakole, a purse of $11.4 million for his Joseph Parker bout in February 2025 earned him a $3.8 million share in the split, as noted by The SunEven Jaime Munguia is near about the same range, as his total payout stood at $2.2 million during the first fight with Surace in December last year. Lower than this, Noel Mikaelyan’s purse share was $100k when he fought Ryan Rozicki in June 2024.

For now, the focus of the boxers on this card, and the eyes of fans who have awaited them to fight against each other, remain on the showdown tomorrow, regardless of what Canelo or the other boxers are earning. Are you excited to see the undisputed super middleweight championship bout too?
