Rick Glaser really doesn’t like Premier Boxing Champions, at least, that’s what it seems like from the barrage of tweets he has made against them in just the past couple of weeks. While the Al Haymon led PBC haven’t responded to any of Glaser’s claims on social media, the controversial boxing insider keeps dishing about them. This time, suggesting—the time is almost up for the promotional company.

Alright, the entire argument here is, Glaser thinks PBC is hemorrhaging money while boxers are parting ways with them. There might be some truth to that, as Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford have ended their relationship with the company, but whether the company is struggling for money is up for debate. Yet Glaser wrote this on X yesterday!

Rick Glaser reveals conversation with boxing executive

Premier Boxing Champions started operations all the way back on March 7, 2015 by airing their first boxing card on NBC. Since then, the promotion has become a behemoth in the industry, with many popular names in their stable, fighting for millions. Plus, they even have a great and highly anticipated clash between Gervonta Davis and Frank Martin coming up.

But as far as Glaser is concerned, Al Haymon and his company are desperate for new investors to walk in through their doors. Glaser wrote, “Al Haymon & #PBC are now as one #Boxing [Executive] said to me yesterday ‘Fast becoming irrelevant’. And I replied ‘And slowly going out of business’.” According to Glaser, this unknown boxing executive agreed with him about PBC going under.

Also, Glaser suggested the executive told him, “Right now they’re just hanging on by a thread, praying for a miracle investor to come along, in truth PBC is doomed, not long for existence”. Only time will tell whether PBC is really in trouble, but Glaser’s prior tweets suggest he wouldn’t mind seeing them fall sooner.

Davis vs. Martin/Benavidez vs. Gvozdyk: Amazon’s last boxing event?

In a tweet dated May 23, the boxing insider again took shots at PBC, claiming a deal with new investors is the only thing that can save PBC. However, he added, “The June 15 show featuring a #TankDavis & #DavidBenavidez doubleheader is going to be #AmazonPrime’s last #Boxing event with #PBC, no matter how many PPV buys it does”.

Glaser alleged the promotional company can’t maintain a healthy relationship with a broadcasting partner for losing yet another broadcaster. It’s worth mentioning that HBO and Showtime, who worked with PBC, exited the sport, which is the reason PBC didn’t work with them anymore.

Despite numerous attacks, PBC hasn’t retaliated against Glaser, nor have they released an official statement about the situation. That could mean either what Glaser is saying is true, or the company doesn’t want to bother with rumors. Which one do you think is most likely?
