The past few weeks have not been easy for boxing legend Mike Tyson after he was spotted in a wheelchair at the Miami airport. This happened just a few weeks after he claimed he was going to pass away soon.
Iron Mike was seen taking pictures with his fans in a wheelchair on August 16. However, he looked physically drained, covering his mouth with a towel and using a stick for support. Tyson had previously claimed that he had been suffering from back problems over the last couple of years, which could have resulted in this. Moreover, earlier this month he was also spotted with a cane roaming around New York City, but it seems like the situation has worsened for him.

The concerning thing about this situation was how Tyson uncannily predicted that this was going to happen to him. On his podcast Hot boxin’, the former heavyweight champ stated that he felt like his time in this world is coming to an end.”We’re all gonna die one day of course. Then, when I look in the mirror, I see those little spots on my face. I say, ‘wow. That means my expiration date is coming close, really soon” He said.

This became even more disheartening, as Tyson claimed that humans knew nothing about death. “That’s death, not knowing, nothing. Life is about dying before you die,” said Tyson.
According to Tyson, death is something that every human will eventually face, and hiding from it is not the answer. However, the world is not yet ready for The Baddest Man On The Planet to leave as many fans came out to wish the champ a speedy recovery.

Tyson has put in a lot of miles on his body during this long career. His aggressive fighting style was based on quick movement and hard punches that eventually took a toll on his spine. He famously claimed that he broke his spine after losing to Lennox Lewis at the tail end of his career.
Moreover, he also claimed that he went through an accident a few years ago, which resulted in the removal of the L4 and L5 vertebrae of the lumbar spine. This, combined with the strenuous load on his spine, has resulted in sciatica that is showing its effects now.
