Celebrities often have some weird fascinations. On a recent podcast, on his own YouTube channel, Boxing legend Mike Tyson aka ‘Iron Mike’ has revealed the reason for such a fascination. Iron Mike said he liked being ‘ominous’ on the latest episode of the podcast-Hotboxin with Mike Tyson, featuring legendary comedian Katt Williams. Most often we see the boxing legend wearing black on the streets and other entertainment shows, so much so that Black is synonymous with Mike Tyson, and he gave the fans a ‘weird’ reason for wearing black. 

Mike Tyson is one of the greatest boxers of all time and fans around the world want to know what the legend has to say about the mystery of life in general as well as personal anecdotes from his own colorful life. On that podcast, he answered one of the mysteries. 

Mike Tyson has a fascination with black 

‘Iron Mike’ is a boxing legend and surely has a huge fan following all over the world. But why is Tyson fascinated with ‘black’?  While having  a discussion with Katt Williams on various topics, Mike disclosed the reason. 

At the start of the podcast, Katt Williams said, “At the point of the my life, when I heard about Mike Tyson, he became like this superhero, um just just because whatever time we were on as far as being in the street, He was already on that the understand of power black and not having frills”.

His statement provoked Tyson to discuss about the matter. He also thinks of Tyson as a superhero.

“The way I always wear black, because black is ominous, so ominous,” said Tyson.

 Although ‘Ominous’ has a lot of different meanings in the dictionary, we can assume that Tyson wanted to portray himself as ‘the most powerful’ and the ‘most notorious’ man in the ring ever. 

Why did Mike Tyson wear no robes during walkouts?

Here is an interesting fact for the fans out there: Tyson never wore any robes during walkouts.

The legend said that he felt more like a warrior when he was drenched in sweat.

“It makes him feel like a warrior. Makes him feel like a gladiator. Makes him feel like he’s ready to go to work,” boxing sportswriter Larry Merchant once revealed.

Well, we can all say that it certainly worked for him as he dispatched most of his opponents in the first few rounds inside the squared ring with his killer punches.
