@jessievargas_ stated on Twitter, “Apparently I’m getting a lot of criticism because I stated in a comment that KSI, the YouTuber, does not know how to train properly and could really get hurt. I stand by it and I’ll tell you why.”

Vargas commented, “KSI does not know how to throw a proper punch, there’s no technique behind it,” and went on to say that KSI could hurt himself without a proper trainer. He also said that, it can be easily seen by looking at the way he throws his punches.

He added “And I think other YouTubers need to take this sport seriously, this isn’t a game and if you’re going to do it, do it right.”

Hasim Rahman Jr replied to the tweet with a counterargument, @_HasimRahmanJr: “Go watch him train for just one session then give your opinion, it will change.”

Many boxing purists have expressed concerns about celebrity boxers and YouTubers entering the sport, claiming that it is disrespectful and dilutes the integrity of the sport. However, others argue that the influx of new audiences that these celebrities bring to the sport is a positive thing.
