Derek Chisora has found himself a new manager and will now reside under Anthony Joshua’s company 258 MGT, based in the UK. After working with David Haye for years, ‘WAR’ and Haye recently parted ways in what came as a shock to the boxing world.

Both David Haye and Derek Chisora greeted each other publicly, before ending their professional relationship as manager-boxer. Hence, 37-year-old Chisora, who was looking for a new manager, has rightly found one.

Anthony Joshua’s 258 MGT is an athlete-developing company that has collaborated with several brands and is nourishing fighters from various places. While Chisora will clearly be a massive addition to the team, the firm also has several surging stars.

Reporter Michael Benson was quick to break the news on social media that evoked many to hunt more about Joshua’s management company. Boasting 16k followers on Instagram, 258 MGT manages Lawrence Okolie, Campbel Hatton, and many big names. That said, Anthony Joshua, arguably the biggest name in today’s boxing, is already the face of the firm.

Moreover, Chisora appears to be taking the right step. As he already appears to be reaching the end of his career, ‘War’ needs relevant fights via proper management, and 258 MGT can rightly offer that. After 43 professional appearances, Chisora stands 32-11, far away from the title ride.

Hence, he needs to smartly pick up his next fight and capitalize on the moment to remain relevant. Following losses to Oleksandr Usyk and Joseph Parker, Chisora lost his right to fight for the world title. Despite his recent form, he might be one or two wins away from getting back his lost spot.

What’s next for ‘War’ Derek Chisora?

The heavyweight division offers several prolific names before the A-listed boxer. While the champions are scheduled to defend their titles next, Chisora can still bag big fights against the likes of Dillian Whyte. Both Whyte and Chisora have been opponents in the past and are currently out of relevant fights. Thus, they can rightly lock horns in an intriguing fight.

Meanwhile, Kubrat Pulev can also come in as a viable opponent if he chooses to stick around. Thus, Chisora has a lot in store for himself. He is one of the most active fighters, who has never shied away from any challenge, and with 258 MGT backing him, he will receive some elite challenges.
