The former IBF welterweight champion, Ezekiel ‘Kell’ Brook, has come out with shocking news. The British boxer has announced his retirement from boxing. Due to this, the 36-year-old told Telegraph that he will be hanging up his gloves and won’t be returning to the ring.

Kell Brook is one of the most notable fighters in the boxing world. Furthermore, the Brit stated that this is it for him after discussing this decision with his family. He said, “My heart’s no longer in it, I have got nothing left to prove. I have had a long chat with my family and my parents, and it’s over for me. I will never box again.”

Brook retires after a career-high win against his biggest rival, Amir Khan. Following this, the 36-year-old explained that this fight was essential for him as he shared, “I needed the Khan fight, I needed to settle the grudge, the feud. There is no dark feeling left in me now, I think when you have been in the ring with someone it passes, it leaves you.”
Brook described to Telegraph, as the kind of boxer and person he wants to be remembered as after his retirement. He stated, “I’d just like to be remembered as a fighter who would go in with anyone, feared no one, and who gave the fans what they wanted.”
