Caleb Plant looks for another title shot as he calls out the WBC middleweight champion Jermall Charlo. He is fresh off a loss to the Mexican pound-for-pound king Canelo Alvarez. Plant lost his IBF super-middleweight title to Canelo and looks to go back to winning ways and have another belt wrapped around his waist.
The quickest way to do that is to challenge other champions. Since the super-middleweight division already has an ‘undisputed’ king, who Plant may not get to face soon, he looks to fight in another division. Jermall Charlo is the WBC’s middleweight champion and has also called out Canelo Alvarez.

Plant took to his Twitter to call out Jermall Charlo. “You’ve been indirect @FutureOfBoxing so I’ll be straight forward. We can figure it out by the end of the year. UR EZ WORK.” Plant said.

Jermall Charlo does not have any opponents to fight at the moment and the champion is looking for a mega-fight in 2022. Charlo has already shown his interest in fighting either Canelo Alvarez or Gennady Golovkin. Although Caleb Plant is nowhere near Canelo or Triple G, a fight in the US will still draw crowds and sell well on PPV.

Jermall Charlo is not the only boxer Caleb Plant called out recently.
Caleb Plant gets into a war of words with Rocky Fielding
Keen to get into the ring again, Caleb Plant took shots at the former WBA super-middleweight champion Rocky Fielding. The only thing the Brit and the American have in common, other than that, both were champions at once. Interestingly, Plant and Fielding had lost their belts to Canelo Alvarez.

Following his loss to Canelo, Fielding took a year-long break from boxing but is now back in the ring. Fielding looks to stake his claim to another title shot, just like Caleb Plant. The Pair exchanged words on Twitter as Caleb Plant revealed texts that the pair sent each other back in 2018.
