Caleb Plant put on one of his career-best performances against Caleb Truax. Right from the first gong, he dominated ‘Golden’ with constant attacks to the face and the body. Although he fared substantially well throughout the 12-round battle, he thought he could have done even better.
In the post-fight interview, ‘Sweethands’ shared his notions on the win and the hand injury he succumbed to in the initial rounds. He said, “Umm, you know I wanted the stoppage. I am a little disappointed that my hand got hurt early on in the fight. And, but again I feel like I put on a great performance and I’m ready for whoever and whatever’s next.”
The 28-year-old admitted that he rooted for a knockout but couldn’t achieve one because of an early injury in the fight. Even though he hurt his hands, he didn’t budge an inch from his prime goal of defeating the veteran Truax.

With this unanimous decision win, the Nashville native improved to 21-0. Truax performed well in this fight and kept Plant staggered with a handful of big shots throughout, but failed to keep up with the latter’s pace. Plant made sure that ‘Golden’ didn’t capitalize on his opportunities and kept him on his toes for 36-minutes.
