The 21-0 boxer spoke on ‘The Pug and Copp Boxing show’ and questioned Alvarez’s opponents. He said, “He’s been fighting, you know, these UK level guys, European-type guys, and that’s cool. But as far as him fighting the top, Floyd, Lara, Triple G, he’s 1-3.”

Plant added, “So, at the end of the day, he’s just a man, and he’s looked human in some of these bigger fights as well. As far as what he did to Billy, and the fashion that he won, that scaring me or making me more nervous or anything like that, that’s not the case.”

In addition, his comments also revealed his opinion on Alvarez’s highly debated bouts. Plant claimed that in the four bouts, Canelo only won 1. However, on paper, Alvarez only lost to Mayweather and won controversial decisions against Lara and Golovkin. He drew the other bout against ‘GGG.’
As those are the few blemishes in an almost perfect record for the Mexican, Plant is using it to remind fans that the P4P superstar is beatable in the ring.
