Recently, Plant was in a chat with Fight Hub TV. Here, he gave his take on the highly anticipated clash between Billy Joe Saunders and Canelo Alvarez. Also, he explained why the Brit has an edge over the Mexican boxer in this epic encounter.

He said, “I mean Billy, he’s got some attributes you know. He’s got foot speed, he got some hand speed, and I think he’s got some more mental fortitude than maybe some of these last couple of opponents’ that Canelo‘s had.”

‘Sweethands’ asserted that Saunders has all the skill sets in his bag to overpower anyone he confronts. But, if the latter cannot implement that in the ring against Canelo, then it won’t be of any use. Plant feels the previous opponents Canelo faced cannot hold a candle to Saunders’ mental strength.

Fans will be keen to see how Saul Alvarez contends with ‘Superb’s’ mental strength within the ropes.

Overall, just like every boxing enthusiast, Plant seemed elevated for this bout. He cannot wait to see two men in their prime touch gloves with each other.

‘Superb’ will look to do the same against Alvarez, and if he traps the latter in the same, it might be a long night for the Mexican. However, in the end, everything will boil down to the 12-round war and what either party will bring to the fight to overpower each other.

With such staggering resumes possessed by both Saunders and Alvarez, this fight promises to be a cracker of an event for 2021.
