Caleb Plant Plans to ‘Trouble’ Canelo Alvarez With Floyd Mayweather Like Athleticism and Boxing IQ

This year, Canelo Alvarez and Caleb Plant will enter a massive showdown against each other. The pair will fight each other for the undisputed super-middleweight championship. That said, this fight has garnered everyone’s attention and Canelo is the sheer favorite in this fight for obvious reasons. However, the underdog Plant is extremely confident of putting up a show in the biggest battle of his life.

In a recent interaction with Tennessean, Plant said, “I feel like my height, my reach, my athleticism are my strengths,”

“I have all the boxing IQ in the world. When he fought Floyd, when he fought Lara (Erislandy), I don’t fight just like Floyd and I don’t fight just like Lara, but I posses a lot of the same athleticism if not more. I posses a lot of the same boxing IQ. Those are things that have given him trouble and I feel like I can capitalize from them also.” (h/t DAZN NEWS)

Until now, Caleb Plant has enjoyed an exemplary run in the super-middleweight roster. This is predominantly why he’s retained the IBF belt alongside his undefeated stint.
