In his last fight, Canelo Alvarez completely outclassed the Brit, Billy Joe Saunders. With that win, he set himself up for a mammoth undisputed showdown with the IBF super-middleweight champ, Caleb Plant. That said, this fight is expected to go down by September 2021 and it has already put the fans in a frenzy.

Recently, Plant was in chat with Seconds Out, where the reporter asked him whether $10 million is the right amount for him to face Canelo Alvarez.

‘Sweethands’ lauded his and manager, Al Haymon, and said, “I don’t really feel like there’s anybody better in the game than Al Haymon.”

“They’ve done a perfect job with me this far. And I know we’re going to sit down here real soon and get things worked out. But you know that number ($10 million) sounds about right or somewhere in there.”

Plant, in his last fight, overshadowed Caleb Truax to claim a sensational win. With that, he even defended his IBF title and made himself viable for an undisputed title fight. On the other hand, Alvarez has been gunning for all the titles at this weight class ever since he returned in December.

With every fight, the Mexican boxer unleashed his terrifying versions and showcased his true class. However, his ultimate test now lies in entering a tussle with Caleb Plant, thus signifying his run for many more years to come.
