Canelo Alvarez and Billy Joe Saunders are all set to battle each other out this weekend. The duo will lock horns against each other for a unified super-middleweight title fight and subsequently, they’ll look to fight for the undisputed title.
The Alvarez vs Saunders bout is a hot topic in the fight world for obvious reasons. And it is one of the prime events of 2021. That said, this fight was bound to accrue reactions from boxing bigwigs. Speaking to FightHype recently, the IBF super-middleweight champ shed some light on this fight. He said, “You know I think Canelo pulls it off but we’ll see you know, Billy’s got some great attributes. So we’ll check it out”
Just like Plant, many other hotshots like Amir Khan and David Benavidez felt that this will be an easy win for the Mexican boxer. However, the unified lightweight champ, Teofimo Lopez, had a different notion pertaining to the predictions and analysis for the fight.
In an interaction with Fight Hub TV, he said, “It’s gonna be a turnaround. Canelo knows his distance, already knows the range with the small gloves and everything. So it’s gonna be a huge challenge for him to overcome.”
In the above video, even ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’, Mike Tyson spilled some beans on this fight. He said, “I’d like to see him (Canelo) fight that shallow guy. That’s gonna be a good fight. I don’t think that guy’s strong enough, but I think that guy, he’s not afraid, he’s smart and he’ll put up a good fight to, whatever happens, happens!”
