Caleb Plant vs Caleb Truax ranked itself among the most entertaining fights of this year. The duo fought for 36 mins, putting on a captivating show for their fans. Though ‘Sweethands’ edged Caleb Truax significantly, the latter stunned the Nashville native a few times.

Recently, the Nielsen Media Research numbers revealed the astonishing viewership this fight received. An average of 1,887,000 viewers watched viewed this fight. The number rose to 2,019,000 as the fight inched closer to the end. These whopping numbers broke the 13-month-old record on ‘FOX PBC Fight Night’.
Earlier, Jermell Charlo’s main event fight with Tony Harrison in their WBC drew a peak audience of 2,233,000 and an average audience of 2,223,000.

Plant was a sheer favorite before entering this fight. And he delivered the fight results in the most expected manner. Right from the first gong, ‘Sweethands’ attacked his compatriot with slick combinations. He used his jab effectively and landed several of those throughout the 12-rounds.
Although the 28-year-old rooted for a knockout, he had to be satisfied with a unanimous decision win. ‘Sweethands’ scored 120 on all three judges’ scorecards comfortably.

Despite this bout being one-sided, fans enjoyed it to their fullest and the aforementioned numbers are proof of that.
With this fight, Caleb Plant has unquestionably increased his value in the 168-pound division. He will look forward to contending in more such classic encounters.

Caleb Plant improved to 21-0 with a win on Saturday night. His ultimate dream now is to unify titles in the super-middleweight division and trace the path of greatness. Considering his aspirations, there’s only one fight that makes sense for him, the Canelo Alvarez bout.

Alvarez will step inside the ring on February 27, to defend his 168-pound belts. Post that he’ll challenge Billy Joe Saunders for his WBO belt.
