IBF super-middleweight champion Caleb Plant will finally return to the ring this Saturday against Caleb Truax. The undefeated American will take on former IBF champion Truax in a 12-round bout. So, let’s inspect the fight and see who will come out on top.

This will be Plant’s third title defense since he became the world champion. And the fight will air live on FOX and will be available to fans for free.

The champion comes into the fight on the back of an impressive technical knockout victory over Vincent Feigenbutz. With a record of 20-0 and 12 knockouts, Plant is a versatile fighter. He can box on the front foot and counter-punch.

Truax is a veteran, and this may be his last shot at a world title. He comes into the fight with a wealth of experience and on the back of a decision victory over David Basajjamivule. His 31-4-2 record shows he’s been around for a while now.

Despite Truax’s experience, Plant is going into the fight as the favorite. Fans across the world are expecting him to get the ‘W’ with ease.

Our prediction for Caleb Plant vs. Caleb Truax

Given the fighters’ style of boxing, we’re going with Caleb Plant to win. Moreover, he will add to his knockout percentage with a seventh-round knockout. Plant will break him down with quick and powerful combinations and then step on it after the sixth round.

Plant possesses underrated ring IQ and movement. He moves very lightly on his feet and combines it with powerful combinations as we’ve seen in his previous three fights. Since the pair are evenly matched physically, we feel this could be the defining factor for Plant.

However, Truax is a former champion and thrives on being the underdog. If he can weather the storm from Plant and show his chin, he is in with a chance for another big upset. Despite this, it will be difficult for him to out-box someone like ‘Sweethands’ Plant.
