After months of remaining unblemished, the undisputed super-middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez looks determined on leading his campaign in another weight class. The biggest name in the sport of boxing is all set to trade leather with the light-heavyweight Russian pugilist, Dmitry Bivol.

However, ahead of the much-anticipated showdown, the former two-time super-middleweight champion David Benavidez accused the pound-for-pound king of ducking him.
ESPN reported through its Twitter account. It wrote, “Benavidez feels Canelo is focused on money, not on fighting the best boxers.”

Notably, after thrashing the whole weight division, there were several opponents for the Mexican star to collide with. But the champion has taken a shot as per his wish in the light heavyweight division.
However, few potential opponents like Benavidez are unhappy with this move of Canelo Alvarez. ‘The Red Flag’ is of the opinion that the champion is a ‘Businessman’.

He said, “At the end of the day, we all knew Canelo wouldn’t want to fight me. He’s fought his tough fights, he’s a businessman [now]. For him, it’s not fighting the best; it’s business.”
