Canelo Alvarez never loses his cool. Fans know him for his calm and composed demeanor before his fights. However, this time around, it seems like his opponent has gotten the better of him. Canelo Alvarez admitted during his media workout that he dislikes Caleb Plant more than any other opponent he has ever faced.

It all started off with their very first face-to-face interaction during their pre-fight press conference. Throughout the press conference, Plant kept going after Canelo and his trainer, calling them cheaters for using banned substances. All the trash talk culminated in the final face-to-face, where the two fighters swung at each other.

“This is new for me, I’ve never had as much bad blood with an opponent than this one. Yes, this is the most animosity that I’ve had heading into a big prizefight,” Canelo said.
