Canelo Alvarez is the face of modern-day boxing. In a career spread across decades, the Mexican boxing star left an enormous mark on the sport. Moreover, he’s far from hanging up his gloves and on November 6, he will enter the boxing ring for one of the biggest fights of his life.

Alvarez on November 6 will lock horns with Caleb Plant for the undisputed super-middleweight clash. This fight is important for both the men because the winner will get a sure-shot entry in the history books as the maiden undisputed champ of this weight class.

That said, both Alvarez and Plant are engrossed in giving their training camps a final touch. Recently, Showtime released a short documentary, wherein they included workout compilations of both the fighters.

In one of the segments, Canelo’s son, Saul Adiel Alvarez, can be seen lacing up the boxing gloves and working alongside his dad.

Watching him, Canelo said, “He says he wants to be a boxer. Every day he watches YouTube clips of me fighting. I wish he liked something else, but…If in the end, he likes boxing, what can we do? We’ll see, he’s still little, we’ll see.”

Being at the professional level, Canelo knows what it takes to be a bigwig boxer. Also, he paved his own way in the sport, battling umpteen hardships to reach where he is today. That said, Alvarez would only want the best for his son. And he’ll always try to make his son as successful as he is.
