Time and time again, Canelo Alvarez has stepped up to the toughest fights possible and he has set an example by not shying away from taking on such challenges. And, he did exactly that on November 6 by stepping into the ring with Caleb Plant, who held the IBF super-middleweight title until fight night.

Just when Caleb Plant started to look a lot like the only person who could finally beat him, Canelo Alvarez wiped all doubters off the board by knocking him out in round 11. The boxing world is now convinced that Alvarez is indeed one of the greatest boxers of all time.

The social media post stated that the pound-for-pound king had donated $1 million to the center and they thanked him for the same. Alvarez acknowledged the post on his own feed.

Canelo Alvarez is a true champion even outside the ring

Canelo Alvarez’s million dollar donation to cancer treatment for children is not just another donation made by another big name. The Mexican p4p king truly cares about these kids; he has helped out the civil association ‘Nariz Roja’ or ‘Red Nose’ in the past as well.

Following a Twitter post about shortage of nececessary medication, Saul did not think twice before donating a big check and also giving out autographed gloves for raising even more money for the kids through auctions.

Even outside the ‘Red Nose’ circle, Canelo Alvarez keeps his feet stuck to homeground in Guadalajara in Mexico. He even came through as the COVID-19 outbreak gripped the world initially in early 2020.

The champ donated more than 900 medical kits to fight COVID-19 to the Civil Hospital of Guadalajara in May. Prior to that, in February 2020, he also made a donation to arrange more medication.
