On May 8, Canelo Alvarez will face one of the toughest names in the super-middleweight division in the form of Billy Joe Saunders. Both of them will lock horns with each other for a tremendous title unification fight, wherein the winner of this bout will set himself up for the undisputed super-middleweight championship bout.

Ahead of this contest, the Mexican boxer was in an interview with DAZN Boxing. Here, his promoter Eddie Hearn asked him for a prediction for the May 8 fight.

The face of boxing responded, “I’m going to win, without a doubt. I’m going to win. I’m here training at 100%. And I came to win, I came to make history, and that’s the only thing going through my head.”

In his last fight, Canelo Alvarez defended his super-middleweight titles by annihilating the Turkish boxer, Avni Yildirim. By doing so, he fulfilled his mandatory defense and cleared his pathway to claim all the titles at 168.

However, he will have to remove a major roadblock in Billy Joe Saunders from his way to achieve what he wishes to. That said, both the fighters will bring in their A-game to tackle each other and roll out a show worth the wait for the fans.
